Summary

At 2 am, Mob wakes up to a message from Reigen.

"Mob, are you awake? I'm about to take a ride in the Shinigami Taxi.”

Shinigami Taxi? Reigen calls Mob and fills him in. It’s a taxi operated by a Shinigami that mainly carries spirits, but every so often, it’ll take a human on board. “A client of mine asked me to rescue her boyfriend who got into that taxi.”

Following this conversation, Mob finds he can no longer get in touch with Reigen.

“...I have to rescue shishou.” And so, Mob’s journey begins.

FAQ

Q. I’m unable to play ‘Me and the Shinigami Taxi’ on macOS Catalina. What should I do?

  • A. Please download the 64bit Mac .zip, and unzip using ‘The Unarchiver’ instead of your Mac’s default decompression software.

Q. I can’t play the Mac version. I get an error that tells me I can’t open it as it’s from an unidentified developer.

  • A.This error can show up when you try to play the game on a Mac. A fix can be found here.

Q. How many endings are there?

  • A. There are three endings: GOOD, BAD and TRUE. The remake version has a hidden story (the English version is a translation of the remake.)

Q. How do I get each ending?

  • A. Mob’s percentage is the key here. The game will show it to you every so often. The amount it increases depends on the choices you make, so be sure to pay attention to this number as you play through the game. In order to access the TRUE ending, you will have to clear both the GOOD and BAD endings. You will have to make the correct choice when you’re given an option at a certain part of the game, and if Mob’s percentage is high enough, the TRUE ending will play out.

Q. How do I unlock the hidden story?

  • A. Clear the GOOD, BAD and TRUE endings, and answer every question correctly when you’re quizzed. Also, be sure to view all of the omake content.

Q. ‘When you’re quizzed’?

  • A. There’s a character who quizzes you in the main game. Here’s a hint: you have to talk to them once to complete the game, but try talking to them again. Pretty typical of RPGs. Don’t worry if you get a question wrong, as there’s no limit to how many times you can try their quiz.

    • Q. Am I allowed to post content inspired by this work?

    • A. Absolutely, within reason. For example, manga, stories, and illustrations are all OK. There’s no need to notify us. If you’re posting anything on Twitter, you can tag your work with #ShinigamiTaxi or #死神タクシーと僕 (up to you!)

      • Q. Can I make a Let’s Play??

      • A. Yes, but only if you’re playing the remake version (the English version of the game is a translation of the remake version.) Posting videos of the 2013 version is prohibited. However, please note the following.
      • 1.You must include the following warning text: “This game contains spoilers for the Mob Psycho 100 manga.”
      • 2.You must not include any footage of the art gallery or mini story 5, both found in the omake section.
